When we finally headed our different ways, it was with no regrets. Those words are still ringing in my ears. On that day were given preparatory holidays. The 11th class students had organized a farewell party for us on our departure.
No teaching work was done. We were lucky to escape with a scolding. I was glad to see that the college presented a new sight. They said that it is easier to impress the examiner with few correctly written words than filling pages full of errors. We were welcomed with flowers. Fruits and sweets were served in great quantity.
Some of them talked of the coming examination while others talked of their future career. I was very much delighted to see the grand library of the college where I could find books on very subject.
The entrance of the class teacher was quite dramatic and we were conveyed the message that a farewell meeting would be held in the spacious hall of the school building.
The meeting was presided over by the Headmaster. The only problem was that we had almost run out of money so we pooled together what we had and bought a gift that all thought was just perfect. They started reading poems.
